Measuring approximately 16cm in length, this soft clouded leopard makes a wonderful gift for animal lovers. Your purchase helps support The Aspinall Foundation’s conservation work around the world. In 2011, the Foundation successfully rewilded De-dung, a male clouded leopard who travelled from the UK to begin a new life in Cambodia.

Common name: Mainland clouded leopard
IUCN status: Vulnerable (VU)
Main threats: Habitat loss and fragmentation, illegal hunting, snaring and the wildlife trade.

About clouded leopards:
Secretive and rarely seen, clouded leopards live in the forests of mainland South and Southeast Asia. Their large paws, flexible ankles and exceptionally long tails make them expert climbers, able to move confidently through the canopy and even descend tree trunks headfirst.

Their remaining habitat is becoming increasingly fragmented, while clouded leopards are also hunted for their fur, teeth and bones and captured for the illegal pet trade. Although their exact numbers are difficult to determine, their wild population is believed to be declining.

Clouded leopards have the longest canine teeth in proportion to their skull size of any living wild cat, earning them comparisons with prehistoric sabre-toothed cats.
