YOUR ADOPTION

What is an animal species adoption?

By adopting an animal, you will be supporting the vital overseas conservation work of The Aspinall Foundation and receive an exciting adoption pack!

Which species can I adopt?

We have twelve animal species available for adoption: cheetah, elephant, giraffe, gorilla, grey wolf, lion, rhino, crocodile, zebra, hippo, and tiger.

Will I be the only person who adopts this animal?

Our adoption scheme operates under a system where multiple people can adopt the same species.

How long does my adoption last?

Adoptions purchased with a one-off payment will last for one year.

If you choose to pay by recurring payment, your adoption will renew automatically each month until you contact us to cancel. As the cost of your adoption box is spread across these payments, we kindly ask that recurring adoptions continue for a minimum of 12 months.

What is included in my adoption pack?

What is included in your adoption pack depends on which option you select. Detailed below is what is included:

Digital
Select a physical adoption with The Aspinall Foundation and you will receive via email:

  • Adoption certificate*
  • Photocard
  • Fact sheet
  • Wildcry magazine and animal updates

Physical
Select a physical adoption with The Aspinall Foundation and you will receive via post:

  • Soft toy*
  • Personalised adoption certificate
  • Photocard
  • Fact sheet
  • Wildcry magazine and animal updates

*Personalisation and soft toy not included with digital adoptions. You also have the option to pick if you would like the soft toy included or not.

What is a digital adoption?

We offer a digital adoption pack as an eco-friendly alternative to a standard physical adoption pack. The pack is delivered to you virtually and nothing is sent in the post. Please be aware, we are unable to personalise digital adoption certificates.

Can you add a name to the adoption certificate?

For physical adoptions, the name entered in the 'name for certificate' box is what will appear on the certificate. Unfortunately, we are unable to personalise digital adoption certificates. The space for a name will be left blank.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

How long will my adoption pack take to arrive? - One-off adoptions

For UK delivery of physical packs, your adoption pack should arrive within 14 working days.

For European orders, please allow up to 21 working days.

For international orders outside of Europe, please allow up to 30 working
days. 

Please note: deliveries outside of the UK may be susceptible to customs duty (import) charges which are outside of our control. Please check for any charges that may be
incurred based on the destination country’s applicable regulations before
deciding to purchase.

How long will my adoption pack take to arrive? - Monthly reoccurring payment adoptions

Due to the nature of the reoccurring payment processing time, your adoption package will be dispatched once we receive confirmation that the first payment has been made. This could take up to 10 working days, depending on your banks operational system. You should receive your adoption pack within 21 working days from when the order is placed.

Can I change the delivery address after I have placed my order?

We can change the shipping address if you contact us within 12 hours of placing your order. After this time, we may be unable to amend the delivery address.
