Frequently Asked Questions

YOUR ADOPTION

What is an animal species adoption?

By adopting an animal, you will be supporting the vital overseas conservation work of The Aspinall Foundation and receive an exciting adoption pack!

Which species can I adopt?

We have thirteen animal species available for adoption: African painted dog, brown bear, cheetah, clouded leopard, elephant, European bison, giraffe, gorilla, grey wolf, Javan langur, lion, rhino and tiger.

All these species are present at one or both of our partner parks in Kent, and you can go and see them for free with the ticket/s included in your adoption (except for Bronze level).

Will I be the only person who adopts this animal?

Our adoption scheme operates under a system where multiple people can adopt the same species.

How long does my adoption last?

Adoptions purchased by a one-off payment will last for one year.

If you paid for your adoption by direct debit, your adoption will automatically renew every month until you contact us or your bank to cancel it.

What is a digital adoption?

We offer a digital adoption pack as an eco-friendly alternative to a standard physical adoption pack. The pack is delivered to you virtually and nothing is sent in the post. Please be aware, we are unable to personalise digital adoption certificates.

Can you add a name to the adoption certificate?

For physical adoptions, the name entered in the 'name for certificate' box is what will appear on the certificate. Unfortunately, we are unable to personalise digital adoption certificates. The space for a name will be left blank.
